Badass Salt
Badass Salt began when I was looking for the perfect hostess gift. Flowers and wine are a given but I wanted something else too. I couldn't find anything that I felt was personal enough to thank someone who was opening their home, cooking a meal, and creating a wonderful atmosphere for friends. I decided to have a go at making my own gift. Hence, Badass Salt.
Each jar of salt is handmade or hand picked to be an unusual, beautiful addition to any kitchen and comes wrapped in a gift box. I hope you enjoy using them and giving them as gifts as much as I do.
Red Red Wine
We love to go wine tasting and Vashon has it's fair share of fantastic winemakers. This Red Red Wine is a Merlot and sea salt infusion. It's perfect not only for grilled meats but also in beef bourguignon or stroganoff. Keep an eye on this salt, the next batch may change as we find new favorites wines.
Ginger
You can't beat this combination of sea salt and ground ginger. It smells as good as it tastes. This is perfect on grilled fish or a boiled egg. We love to use it to salt the rim of a margarita.
Yin Yang
This is the original Badass Salt.
It's a combination of white and black Hawaiian sea salts shaken up so the salts combine to create balance and be enjoyed on a multitude of dishes. We love this sprinkled on linguine or cookies straight from the oven.
Spring
This beautiful Himalayan sea salt is the highest-grade pink mineral salt in the world. It is Kosher Certified and is our go to salt at home. When a recipe asks for salt this is what we use. We make our dijon salad dressing with it and have it on the table at dinner. It's the rock star of salts and works with everything from vegetables, fish and meats. 4 oz
Sriracha

Sriracha Salt is made from an infusion of hot peppers and sea salt.
Most Sundays we start our day with sauteed greens from the garden with an egg on top and of course a sprinkle of Sriracha Salt. It's a delicious, healthy breakfast.We love it on roasted peppers and we have friends who use it on the rim of a margarita glass. Who knew salt could be so Badass!
Garlic
Yes, this salt smells wonderful! Made with big chunks of dried chopped garlic and sea salt, if you are a garlic lover it's for you. We use it in soups and stews and its fantastic on roasted vegetables.
Herbs de Provence
You might want to put this salt in a sachet and put it in a drawer. It smells that good. But don't because cooking with it makes so many dishes taste wonderful. Sea salt with fennel seeds, lavendar, thyme, rosemary and savory makes this salt so delicious. Holy Smokes!
